Job Description
The company seeks a Design Engineering Manager to manage a team of Mechanical Design Engineers involved in product design projects. The successful candidate will review, assess, and monitor engineering and process integrity during NPD development, introduce product integrity improvements, and create a culture of robust product and performance specification.
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications and skills in mechanical design
- Strong career record in successful mechanical design using products made from pressure diecasting, injection moulding, pressing, assembly, and finishing
- Proficient with 3D design software (ideally Solid Works and Enterprise)
- Experienced in the use and facilitation of quantitative value analysis and FMEA studies
- Capabilities in operating Finite Element Analysis simulations
- Collaborative approach with good communication, team-working, and leadership attributes
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical team members
- Ability to find creative solutions to complex engineering problems
- Analytical thinker
- Understanding of industry standards and regulations
