Job Description
The CNC Machinist III will be responsible for set up and operations of CNC Mill and Lathe machines used in Manufacturing and Fabrication of aircraft/military components. Strong focus on SAFETY FIRST. Must have 5+ years experience in CNC Machining 3-4-5 axis, CNC Programming background preferred.
Requirements
- Strong focus on SAFETY FIRST
- Ability to use the latest technology in 5 axis with focus on 'Lights out machining' (Probing / Break detection,...)
- Knowledge of fixturing and tooling design
- Editing in MDI, preferred with Mazak, Okuma, Fanuc, Siemens controllers
- Strong communication skills, wear PPE at all times
- Utilize ERP system to accurately record labor hours and production quantity
- Suggests recommendations to Leads/Supervisor concerning process improvements
- Perform standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, speeds and feeds of machining
- Understanding of lean, Kaizen and 6S concepts
- Performs routine daily maintenance and housekeeping duties
- Can do attitude, continuous improvement
