Requirements

• Selecting appropriate equipment and techniques to be used during procedures, in consultation with the physician
• Administering blood products, medications and controlling the temperature of patients during surgery
• Monitoring equipment during surgical procedures, making adjustments as needed to ensure proper blood pressure and flow during the surgery
• Purchasing equipment and supplies as necessary
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives
