Job Description
Camp MASS MoCA Teaching Artist will develop and facilitate museum experiences and art making opportunities for students grades 2-5 and/or grades 6-9. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in education, art administration, art history, or the performing arts, and have experience working with children in an intensive camp setting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in education, art administration, art history, or the performing arts
- Experience working with children in an intensive camp setting
- Ability to work a full week during camp and time spent developing a curriculum based on exhibitions on view at MASS MoCA
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Commitment to DEAI (diversity, equity, accessibility, inclusion) work and fostering a sense of belonging, dignity, and justice for all visitors
Benefits
- Contract based role that pays for the project based work at a rate of $2,375/week
- MASS MoCA provides up to $350/week of camp for supplies and materials
