Policy and Research Analyst

The Policy and Research Analyst supports the Office of the Child Advocate's Policy and Implementation Team by conducting mixed methods research and contributing to the development of policy reports and briefs. The right candidate has interest and experience in using mixed-methods research to inform policy recommendations and is detail-oriented, flexible, and able to work collaboratively with a growing team of public servants.

Requirements

• Conducts research, collecting and synthesizing information from various sources
• Assists in the development and implementation of surveys and other qualitative research tools
• Conducts basic data analysis in Excel to draw conclusions and make recommendations
• Proposes policy findings and recommendations for specific projects based on research findings
• Drafts and contributes to policy research deliverables, including legislative reports, policy briefs, and presentations
• Provides support in responding to requests for policy analysis from Legislature or reviewing proposed legislation
