Data Team Lead

Massive Rocket is a rapidly scaling Braze and Snowflake agency on a mission to transform how digital marketing, product, and engineering teams connect. As Data Team Lead, you'll lead our data engineering function and shape how data, AI, and machine learning power client outcomes across the business.

Requirements

• 7+ years in engineering leadership roles focused on data and AI technologies
• Proven experience managing and scaling cross-functional data teams (5–8+ direct reports)
• Strong track record in hiring, mentoring, and developing technical talent
• Experience delivering complex data programmes in high-growth or consulting environments
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering and modern data stack architectures
• Deep knowledge of enterprise data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, or similar
• Experience with CDPs and data integration tools such as Segment, mParticle, Hightouch, or equivalent
• Strong grounding in data architecture, governance, and security best practices
• Familiarity with AI/ML ecosystems and orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow, dbt, SageMaker, MLflow)
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern DevOps practices
