Principal Software Engineer

We're seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join our Transfer Solutions team. As a technology leader, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and operating the technology that powers Mastercard's next-generation payment applications. You'll lead a team of engineers, drive innovation, and be responsible for implementing cutting-edge engineering practices. You'll work on complex enterprise-wide initiatives, architect and deliver new services, and participate in the company's agile process.

Requirements

• Expertise in building highly resilient and scalable distributed systems
• Deep exposure to various database, messaging, and caching technologies
• Experience in Java, Springboot, Microservices, API, Distributed systems, event-driven architecture, SQL, secure coding standards, and vulnerability management
• Expert understanding and experience of DevOps best practices
• Experience in Continuous Integration and Delivery concepts
• Understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux, Mainframe)
• Skills in developing and evangelizing reference architecture and run principles
• Experience in leading and coaching teams to perform software planning and estimation for large-scale complex programs
