Matchbook Learning is a non-profit charter management organization seeking a Middle School English Language Arts Teacher to join their team at Matchbook Learning at Wendell Phillips School 63 for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will deliver a comprehensive curriculum, create a positive classroom environment, and work collaboratively with staff to support student development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Elementary Education, or a related field
- State Standard teaching certification or equivalent out-of-state certificate
- Previous experience working with elementary or middle school students (strongly preferred)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Ability to adapt lessons and teaching techniques to meet the needs of diverse learners
