Job Description
Join Materion as a Machine Operator II - Conditioning and improve the surface condition of rolled products. The position involves setting up and operating leveling equipment, shears, and other machinery in a manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- High School of Vocational School Diploma and/or GED required
- 0-2 years of experience related production experience in a manufacturing environment
- Basic math skills are required to perform necessary job functions
- An understanding of basic measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers)
- Good communication skills including the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with some machining experience is a plus
- May require the use of fork trucks, overhead cranes, hand carts and hand tools. Must be capable of obtaining a fork truck license and/or overhead crane license and must obtain a lockout/tagout certification
