Senior Geoscientist

Mati Carbon seeks an accomplished Senior Scientist to lead technical projects and build systems for Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) technologies. The ideal candidate will contribute to quantifying the agronomic and carbon dioxide removal (CDR) impacts of Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW) deployments.

Requirements

• PhD in Geochemistry, Geochemical Modeling, Soil Biogeochemistry or a related discipline
• Post-doctoral research in the carbon cycle, silicate weathering, carbonate weathering, carbon mineralization, development of novel isotope systematics
• 5+ years of experience in research related to carbon dioxide removal or the carbon cycle
• Excellent communicator with ability to brief smallholder farmers and outside auditors
• Experience integrating geochemical data into commercial MRV or LIMS platforms
• Prior familiarity with voluntary carbon market standards (Puro, Isometric, VCMI, ICVCM)
