Job Description
MATRIX is seeking a Camp Manager on a rotational basis for projects across Canada in some of the most remote locations. The role involves managing people, maintaining professional client relationships, and overseeing facilities maintenance, mechanical operations, and staffing.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge in Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing & Mechanical
- 2-3 years as a Camp Manager in remote settings
- Excellent and Proven abilities to manage people, and maintain professional client relationships
- PAL license (for wildlife monitoring) - required.
- Level 1 Supervisor Ticket - required.
- Level 1 First Aid Certification or equivalent 2-day course - required
- Valid Driver's License
- Proficient computer skills. MS Office programs (Word, Outlook, Excel, Office 365)
- Management, organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Positive attitude and a desire to help your team succeed.
- Previous experience working in a remote camp setting
- Previous experience working with Diesel Generators, off-road vehicles and chainsaws
- Experience managing a crew
- Familiar using a Satellite phone
- Trades experience a definite asset.
- Handy and adaptable
