Job Description
The Engineer II is responsible for performing design and analysis work for liquid storage structures, specialty vessels, and foundations using sound engineering principles. This role works on individual tasks in a collaborative team of engineers and designers to directly support various field and fabrication offices.
Requirements
- BS in Civil (Structural)/Mechanical Engineering required; MS degree preferred; PhD highly preferred.
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) preferred
- 2+ years related engineering experience is required or equivalent educational experience.
- Advanced knowledge of strength of materials, mechanics, and structural analysis. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience is preferred.
- Experience in design of steel and concrete structures is preferred
- Working knowledge of MathCAD, AutoCAD, STAAD, and ANSYS is preferred.
- Knowledge of numerical methods of structural analysis preferred.
- Design experience in API-620, API-650, API-653, ASCE, ACI, NFPA and ASME Section VIII is strongly preferred.
