Work with outside architectural firms to create high-quality, profitable, Mattamy branded architectural designs for the division. Manage prototype and model home frame-walk process, coordinate lot specific production, and participate in weekly product conference calls with divisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or related field
- 5+ years construction or architectural experience required, residential construction preferred
- Strong communication skills with ability to communicate either verbally, in writing, or visually through use of architectural drawings
- Working knowledge and skills with drawing application programs in particular, AutoCAD (version 2000+)
- Ability to apply standard construction techniques to CAD drawings
- Knowledge of REVIT an asset
- Strong computer skills in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (MS Project an asset)
- Full understanding and ability to apply local Building Codes
- Detail-orientated with ability to check documents/drawings for accuracy, communicate detailed changes and ensure corrections are made
- Good organizational and time management skills with ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and issues with tact and diplomacy
- Ability to maintain an organized system of tracking, monitoring and prioritizing tasks and projects.
- Must be reliable and able to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments and proactively anticipate needs
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Able to juggle multiple tasks and priorities, quick-thinker, able to pivot and adjust as needed
