Job Description
The Trailer Mechanic performs required inspections and maintenance on trailers and equipment to maximize safety, reliability, and cost efficiency. The position requires experience in fleet trailer maintenance and repair, knowledge of FMCSRs and DOT Compliance, and air brake certification.
Requirements
- 4 years of experience in fleet trailer maintenance and repair
- Knowledge and understanding of FMCSRs and DOT Compliance
- Air brake certification
- Working knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software for OEMs and component manufacturers
- ASE certification preferred
- Current valid driver's license (CDL Class A preferred but not required)
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
- Ability to work outside in inclement weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent required
