Job Description
Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) position at Eglin AFB, FL. Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 9-hour shifts with a one-hour non-paid lunch break. On-call coverage as part of a rotational schedule. Participate in continuing professional development programs and adhere to Air Force medical service and 96th medical group policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED and graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Taken and passed NCLEX-PN board exam.
- BLS hands on course approved by American Red Cross or American Heart Association prior to arrival.
- Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood pressure, Lab work, Emotional support program (S.T.A.B.L.E) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is required only for direct patient care with infants.
- At least 1 year of active practical or vocational nursing in an inpatient or outpatient environment post graduation/completion of course.
- Maintain an active, valid, current, and unrestricted license (with no limitations, stipulations or pending adverse actions) to practice nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse in any US state/jurisdiction.
