Job Description
The Nurse Practitioner- Pediatrics will provide a full range of outcome-based nurse practitioner services, including supervising and providing medical care and examinations of patients, diagnosing and treating patients, promoting preventive care and health maintenance, and communicating with a diverse group of people.
Requirements
- Graduate degree or higher level degree in nursing from an accredited educational program
- One year experience as a pediatric nurse practitioner within the last two years prior to contract execution
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- National certification in specialty (e.g., certification through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) or the ANCC)
- Current, valid, unrestricted license in one of the 50 US States and/or territories
- Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate with all parties and other health care providers
