Certified Surgical Assistant - Operating Room - CSA

The Certified Surgical Assistant first assists the surgeon/physician in the performance of surgical procedures. The role requires knowledge of human surgical anatomy, surgical skills, and aseptic technique. The CSA will work in a multi-specialty perioperative setting.

Requirements

• Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) certification
• Understanding of human surgical anatomy
• Surgical skills such as suturing and proper use of surgical instrumentation
• Knowledge of principles of aseptic technique and perioperative policies and procedural guidelines
• Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgeon
