The Surgical Technologist provides safe and efficient care to the surgical patient under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN) and in collaboration with the surgeon.

• Possesses knowledge in the application of sterile and aseptic technique
• Utilizes knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, surgical instrumentation and technology as member of the surgical team
• Adapts to unpredictable situations within the perioperative setting
