Summer/Winter Cadet

McAllister Towing is offering a Summer/Winter Internship to trainees at their ports. Interns will train and gain experience, apply classroom knowledge, and work alongside experienced mariners. The role involves both classroom learning and hands-on, potentially hazardous, duties. Safety is prioritized.

Requirements

• Current U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential (if Cadet has credentials)
• Valid Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)
• Adequate vision
• Adequate hearing
• Capable of walking and standing on wet surfaces for extended periods
• Able to lift 100 lbs.
• Able to hoist 120 lbs.
• Physical ability to climb a 12-foot ladder and lift 50-35 lbs.
