Practice Support Lawyer- Business Law

We are recruiting for a Practice Support Lawyer - Business Law to join our team in our Toronto office. The role would be national in scope and require 5-8 years of Business Law experience, with an active bar membership in Ontario (a Québec bar membership is preferred, but not required).

Requirements

• LL.B. or J.D. required; active membership in the Law Society of Ontario is mandatory (Québec bar an asset).
• 5–8 years of Business Law experience at a large, full service law firm, ideally in Private M&A, Public M&A, and/or Capital Markets.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent written (including drafting) and oral communication and presentation skills.
• Bilingualism (English and French) preferred.
• Experience in knowledge management and proficiency in developing and updating precedents.
• Technology savvy. Experience with working with legal technology and AI preferred.
• Experience supporting training and professional development preferred.
