Transport Officer (Part-Time)

The Martin County is hiring a part-time Transport Officer to perform operational duties for the care and transport of jail inmates, including transporting inmates to and from the courtroom, prison, and other locations, as well as performing maintenance inspections of transport vehicles.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Knowledge of handcuffing/shackling techniques
• Familiarity with court rulings relevant to handling of inmates' rights
• Ability to deal with inmates firmly, fairly, and objectively
• Ability to receive direction and supervision from supervisors
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
