Job Description
The Principal Subsea Engineer will support Advanced Pipeline FEA for Lateral buckling and walking analysis and ECA tasks, and provide specialist skills and knowledge in subsea engineering and installation engineering. They will lead functional teams or projects, and be regarded as a specialist in subsea engineering. The role requires in-depth expertise in subsea engineering, as well as broad knowledge of the subsea discipline within the engineering function.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Naval Architecture
- Minimum 10 years of experience in subsea engineering, with a focus on design and installation engineering
- Strong knowledge of design codes related to subsea engineering and installation engineering
- Ability to perform conceptual, FEED, and detailed analyses and design
- Ability to coordinate and engage in daily activities and schedule priorities for subsea engineering under limited supervision
- Ability to tender engineering support with an emphasis on document review, preparation of subcontractor documents, CTR preparation, bid evaluation, and vendor selection
