Responsible for manually operating safety door on molding machine to extract molded parts or load molding fixtures/hand loads, to produce plastic parts.
Requirements
- Must remain at machine for duration of shift as required except for scheduled break times
- Perform secondary operations on molded parts to include trimming with knives and/or clippers, use of hand or power tools to separate molded parts from hand loads
- Capable of shutting down a machine in an emergency
- Clean all auxiliary equipment to include hoppers, grinders and dryers as needed
- Safely answer alarms on the machine
- Shut off water to the mold in case of a large leak
- Collect first shots and last shots
- Correctly complete Production Orders and Machine Cards
- Use limit samples/workmanship standards properly
- Understand and perform rework procedures
- Be available to work overtime as needed
- To adhere to all company policies regarding conduct, safety practices, and job performance
