McElhanney is seeking a Senior Marine Structural Engineer to join their team in a senior-level opportunity for an experienced marine structural engineer who is ready to take on technical leadership, project oversight, and mentorship responsibilities. The role involves delivering complex marine structures and shaping the future of their marine practice.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive experience in marine structural engineering design
- P.Eng. registration in good standing with Engineers and Geoscientists BC
- Proven success delivering marine structural projects in a dual role as both Project Manager and Engineer of Record for public and private sector clients
- Experience with floating structures and aluminum structures is a strong asset
- In-depth knowledge of Canadian design codes for steel, concrete, and aluminum, with working familiarity with international marine codes and standards
- Advanced proficiency with structural analysis and design software, including SAP2000
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience in project management and proposal development
- Highly organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office, particularly Word and Excel, and the ability to quickly adopt new tools and technologies
