Sr. Systems Engineer

McKesson is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to support and enhance our on-premise and cloud applications. The ideal candidate will lead technical efforts to maintain, improve, and troubleshoot application services while mentoring teammates and driving operational excellence.

Requirements

• Serve as a team leader and mentor
• Design strategies to improve application availability, performance, and overall system health
• Diagnose and resolve complex application issues
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement long-term fixes
• Identify and resolve recurring incidents to reduce mean time to resolution
• Support application deployments and DevOps workflows
• Create and refine processes to meet SLO/SLA targets
• Develop, maintain, and automate Disaster Recovery documentation
• Manage application-related data tasks, including SQL queries, stored procedures, and jobs
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
• Provide documentation and evidence for annual audits
