Job Description
A Survey Field Technician I has a variety of tasks at field sites, including operating SUE field equipment and walking long periods of time through uneven terrain. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and specialized training or experience.
Requirements
- Load and unload equipment from truck and carry equipment
- Cut line with brush axe
- Run level rod to obtain elevations
- Hold prism pole for horizontal positions
- Exercising extreme caution near or around any utility facility and follow all job site safety parameters
- Assist with maintenance of vehicles, equipment, and work sites
- Adhering to all company policies and procedures
- Walking outdoors for long periods of time through all kinds of terrain
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, carry, and operate equipment as needed on the project
- Ability to travel daily
- Occasional overnight travel may be required
- Work 50+ hours during busy periods
- Can work unsupervised when required
