Job Description
McShane Construction is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager for primarily multifamily projects. The Preconstruction Manager is responsible for preliminary budgeting, schedules, bidding process, procurement, prequalification of subcontractors, detailed take-off and estimating, definition of bid packages, value engineering, and assisting in project buy-out.
Requirements
- B.S. in Construction Management, Construction Science, Construction Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and field experience
- 4+ years preconstruction or estimating experience
- Must have thorough competency in On-Screen Takeoff or similar estimating software
- Ability and experience in developing Conceptual Budgeting for various product types, with full divisional breakdown from very limited program information or documents
- Ability to communicate effectively and work productively with Owners, project professionals, and field and office staff
- Ability to proactively identify problems and propose possible solutions
- Ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
