Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC is seeking an Aeroderivative Repair Development Engineer to lead the development and implementation of manufacturing and repair processes for aeroderivative gas turbine components.
Requirements
- Lead the development and implementation of manufacturing and repair processes for aeroderivative gas turbine components.
- Design innovative tooling solutions to support component repair and new part manufacturing.
- Interpret complex engineering data: blueprints, CAD models, material specs, and process documentation.
- Optimize machining and manufacturing operations to improve efficiency, reduce cycle time, and ensure top-tier product quality.
- Establish and maintain quality standards, performing root-cause analysis (RCA) and ensuring compliance.
- Create detailed work instructions to train operators and standardize repair and inspection processes.
- Serve as the technical focal point for nonconformance reports (NCRs) and component disposition.
- Present technical content during engineering or program reviews.
- Ensure proper documentation aligned with engineering policies and procedures.
- Support engineering and business partners to ensure repair limits, processes, and procedures are correctly incorporated into shop and vendor manuals.
- Develop and industrialize new repair processes for Aero Gas Turbine components.
- Perform design analysis and evaluation to substantiate repairability limits and operational life.
- Provide direction for CAD models, drawings, and component specifications.
- Support the repair process qualifications and drive standardization and industrialization efforts.
