Principal Video Research Engineer

MediaKind is seeking a Principal/Senior Video Research Engineer to join a small, highly focused research team of video technology experts. The team leads speculative research and develops proof-of-concepts (PoCs) in strategic video technology domains.

Requirements

• Conduct exploratory research and develop PoCs in key technology areas such as video/media processing, compression, and delivery.
• Build tools for technology evaluation, benchmarking, and experimentation.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to facilitate technology transfer.
• Identify new challenges and application domains in video technologies relevant to MediaKind’s strategy.
• Produce technical reports, PoCs, and foster knowledge-sharing across the organization.
• Contribute to MediaKind’s technical leadership.
