Job Description
The Tomlinson Laboratory, Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), is seeking a motivated and organized Research Specialist to serve as Lab Manager. The position will provide critical administrative and experimental support for a multidisciplinary team investigating complement-mediated neuroinflammation and neuroregeneration in models of brain injury.
Requirements
- Manage laboratory budgets, purchasing, and service contracts.
- Coordinate onboarding and training of new personnel and students.
- Maintain laboratory records, inventories, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Oversee laboratory organization, equipment maintenance, and supply ordering.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements such as IACUC, IBC, audits.
- Assist in projects related to above described work. Perform experimental procedures relevant to projects such as tissue procurement and specimen processing, histological and immune analysis, neurobehavioral analysis
