Professional Network Engineer (a) 80-100%

Hirslanden is looking for a Professional Network Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the stable operation and continuous development of their modern network infrastructure, including a nationwide MPLS network and data center network. The role involves advising medical technicians on network connectivity, developing network automation, and analyzing and fixing network faults and performance problems.

Requirements

• Completed vocational training or further education in the field of computer science
• Professional experience in enterprise networks, ideally with Cisco certification (CCNA, CCNP)
• Outstanding knowledge and experience in the areas of Cisco switching and routing, OSPF, BGP, firewalling/network security
• Experience with network automation using Python scripting and Ansible, as well as with technologies such as Cisco WLAN, Cisco ACI, Cisco Catalyst Center, Palo Alto Networks, load balancing, reverse proxy, Linux, Kubernetes
• Structured and independent working method, analytical thinking and high personal responsibility
• Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing; French language skills are a plus
