Radiation Safety Officer Technician

Supports the Radiation Safety Officer in maintaining a comprehensive radiation safety program within the college, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while protecting employees, students, patients, and the public.

Requirements

• Assist with daily operations of the College's radiation safety program
• Conduct routine radiation surveys and safety inspections
• Maintain and calibrate radiation survey instruments and equipment
• Collect and process personnel dosimeters and maintain accurate records
• Assist with inventory management of radioactive materials and devices
• Support radiation safety training for faculty, staff, residents, students, and clinic personnel
• Assist in maintaining compliance documentation for federal, state, and institutional regulations
• Participate in radiation waste collection and disposal
• Respond to radiation incidents and assist with decontamination and corrective actions
