Systems Administrator

The Systems Administrator will support cutting-edge high-performance computing (HPC) cluster and modern cloud infrastructure systems. The role involves installing, supporting, and maintaining HPC systems, ensuring backup copies of files, and managing user accounts and permissions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, Engineering, or a related technical field
• 2 years of relevant experience
• Technical mastery of system internals, network security, database and operating systems, emerging cluster computing technologies and architectures
• Experience in cross-platform OS and application integration (Linux/Windows)
• Experience in high-performance computing (HPC) administration is considered advantageous
• Experience and/or working knowledge of cluster management and job scheduling tools is preferred
• Experience and/or working knowledge of regulations, systems management protocols and compliant requirements
• Advanced experience writing and editing complex scripts used to perform system maintenance and administration
• Organizing and coordinating skills
• Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information
• Cognizant of ethical concerns balancing data privacy and usability in relation to protecting and supporting underserved and exploited populations
