Job Description
The primary function of a Material Handler is to safely and accurately transfer incoming materials and existing product from different areas of the facility.
Requirements
- Maintains a clean, safe work area at all times
- Comply with all GMP requirements
- Knowledge of the Material Handling department
- Trained to use applicable classes of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and must maintain valid certification
- Basic knowledge of packaging and how it is used in the facility
- Ability to transfer items accurately from different areas of the facility
- Comprehensive knowledge of radio frequency terminals and be able to transfer product accordingly
- Must be able to operate both stretch wrappers at the facility (automatic and manual)
- Comprehensive knowledge of transfer sheets, manifests, bill of ladings, tally sheets, skid tags and return authorizations
- Must have comprehensive working knowledge of Data Collection Terminals, both at the wrapper and within the warehouse
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
- Ability to read and record written instructions
- Ability to work independently
- Notify Supervision of any issues
- Must adhere/comply with all Company policies, procedures and practices
- All other duties as assigned
