Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Construction Supervisor (Piping) with a Higher National Diploma (HND) and extensive commissioning experience of Oil & Gas projects. The ideal candidate will have good skills in construction management, effective communication, conflict resolution, and experience in piping and mechanical installation and commissioning.
Requirements
- Higher National Diploma (HND) in Instrumentation and/or Electrical and/or Mechanical from a recognized University
- Extensive commissioning experience of Oil & Gas projects
- Good skills in construction management, effective communication, conflict resolution
- A minimum of eight to ten (10 to 12) years experience in relevant construction and installation activities in projects of oil & gas industry
- Experience in steel structure installation and commissioning of Offshore Projects
- Good knowledge in piping and mechanical installation and commissioning
- Good knowledge of lifting activities to assess the lifting plan and lifting operation
- Experienced in the implementation of construction industry best practices, systems, processes and standards
- Understanding of construction techniques for various types of work especially the construction and commissioning activities in Green, brown fields and Well Head Jackets
- Computer literate. Good communication and writing skills
- Excellent knowledge of industry engineering standards, quality control, safety and environmental awareness
- Excellent ability to interpret and review method statements, lifting plan, inspection and test plans, construction schedules and drawings
- Ability to highlight potential bottlenecks/problems and ability to suggest solutions
- Ability to supervise, cooperate and coordinate with multi-national and multi-cultural contractor workforce
