Job Description
Work with campers to promote safety, independence, exploration, and integration into the camp community. Demonstrate positive behavioral management techniques and communicate with individuals in a person-centered, age-appropriate manner.
Requirements
- Work with assigned campers to promote safety, independence, exploration, and integration into the camp community
- Demonstrate positive behavioral management techniques and communicate with individuals in a person-centered, age-appropriate manner
- Actively participate in the camp program with assigned group by supporting campers at whatever level they may need
- Assist Activity leaders in program facilitation and demonstrate a positive attitude about all camp activities
- Live cooperatively within the camp community and assist with evening cabin or program responsibilities
- Complete assigned notes, daily logs, and other documentation thoroughly, accurately, and in a timely manner
- Attend and actively participate in required trainings, team meetings, and supervision meetings
- Develop free time activities that promote team work, positive interaction, and personal growth
- Adhere to State of Maryland, PATH, American Camp Association, CARF, and Melwood policies and procedures
