Job Description
The MATAplus Operator is responsible for safely and reliably transporting individuals with disabilities, the elderly, and other passengers in a designated route. This role involves providing assistance, maintaining passenger safety, and adhering to all traffic laws and procedures. The operator must possess a valid driver's license and complete required training. FLSA is Non-Exempt and provides a starting hourly wage of $18.35.
Requirements
- Drive non-air brake or air-brake equipped vehicles.
- Provide assistance and support for passenger boarding and deboarding.
- Operate on-board computer for fare box and pass distribution.
- Maintain a valid Class D license.
- Proficient communication skills
- Responsiveness to customer and potential problems
- Compliance with traffic regulations and emergency procedures.
