Bilingual Cultural Mentor – Summer Learning Academy

Provides academic assistance to students in the English as a Second Language (ESL) program, interprets for students, parents, and teachers, and serves as liaison between District staff and students or parents.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate’s degree, or two (2) years of college (minimum of 48 semester hours)
• Passing score on the ParaPro Assessment Test, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or directly relevant experience
• Relevant training and experience in translating and/or mentoring, with a commitment for the entire period of Summer Learning Academy
• Attendance at ALL periodic administrative meetings, and availability for Summer Learning Academy setup and preparation and closeout operations
