Job Description
Merchants Insurance Group, a leading Property and Casualty Insurer in the Northeast, is looking for a highly motivated Accounting/Internal Audit Intern to learn and apply their skills in a corporate capacity. The internship will be hybrid, requiring 2 full days per week in the office, with the option to work the remaining days at home or in the office.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in as a Junior or Senior in an undergraduate program in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Strong attention to detail and ability to review and verify sensitive financial and tax documentation accurately
- Basic understanding of IRS forms (W-9 and 1099) or willingness to learn
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors
