Market System Development (MSD) Specialist-Garissa/Wajir

Mercy Corps is seeking a Market System Development (MSD) Specialist to work in Garissa, Kenya. The successful candidate will have experience in implementing MSD programs, entrepreneurship, private sector engagement, or investment/incubation interventions. The role involves providing technical support, facilitating system change, and working with private sector partners to develop market systems in the livestock value chain.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in animal science, Agricultural Science, Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in implementing MSD program, entrepreneurship, private sector engagement, or investment/incubation interventions
• Demonstrated experience working, partnering with, and brokering PPPs or B2B partnerships with private businesses of diverse sizes
• Report writing, ability to analyze institutions and needs, facilitation skills, and ability to identify problems and alert other staff
