Medical Coder

The Medical Coding Specialist ensures the accuracy of medical coding. This is a remote position that requires a certified coder to work methodically and accurately.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills by phone or in person
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, and Workers’ Compensation insurance billing guidelines
• Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records
• Previous experience with claims, payment posting, denials and appeals and coding
