Join our team as a Diabetes Nurse Educator and play a vital role in guiding individuals through the Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) program.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, including teaching in a specialty area.
- Experience in outpatient care and working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong critical thinking and clinical competence.
- Current RN license in Maryland OR Nurse Multi-State Compact license with “Compact” or “Multi-State Privilege” designation.
- Certification in area of specialty required.
- Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) credential preferred, or eligibility to obtain certification.
- Familiarity with CPT/ICD coding and ADA guidelines for outpatient diabetes education.
- Strong documentation and continuing education record.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to teach, motivate, and inspire patients.
- Commitment to excellence in practice and patient-centered care.
