Job Description
As a Radiologic Technologist specializing in Cardiac Catheterization and Interventional Radiology, you'll support complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures that directly impact patient outcomes. Working in a fast-paced, team-based setting, you'll assist physicians during high-acuity interventions, operate advanced imaging equipment, and contribute to a safe, efficient procedural environment.
Requirements
- Provide surgical scrub assistance during cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures
- Operate radiographic equipment within scope of licensure and safety protocols
- Prepare procedure rooms, contrast media, and necessary supplies
- Monitor patients and equipment during procedures, documenting relevant clinical data
- Demonstrate intra-procedural competency in technical, diagnostic, and therapeutic techniques
- Assist RNs with direct patient care and procedural support
- Maintain quality control of radiology equipment and protective gear (licensed radiographers only)
- Participate in on-call rotation with a required 30-minute response time
- May hold individual responsibility for specific procedures or equipment oversight
