Procurement Specialist - CAPEX Project

Role Overview

Mesabi Metallics is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support procurement and contracting activities for a state-of-the-art ironmaking facility. The role will involve managing sourcing, purchasing, and contract administration activities for capital equipment, construction services, and project materials.

What You Will Do

Manage procurement activities, coordinate procurement schedules, track progress, and provide regular status updates. Conduct commercial evaluations, negotiate pricing and delivery schedules, and work with Legal and Project teams in contract preparation and administration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related discipline
• 5-10 years of procurement, sourcing, or contract management experience
• Professional certifications such as CPSM, CIPS, PMP, or equivalent
• Experience supporting capital projects, industrial construction projects, or manufacturing operations
• Understanding of procurement processes, sourcing methodologies, and contract administration
• Familiarity with construction, EPC, or industrial project procurement environments
• Experience with ERP systems and procurement software (SAP preferred)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement reporting tools
