Saw Operator

Role Overview

The Saw Operator will perform routine to moderately advanced production activities, requiring demonstrated skill and competency in production processes and machine operation. The role involves operating a single point machine to process work pieces by cutting, sawing, and grinding.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include positioning work pieces for processing, operating an overhead crane, determining processing specifications, performing quality control inspections, and performing minor machine maintenance.

Requirements

• Valid overhead crane certification
• Valid OSHA forklift certification
• High School Graduate or Equivalent
• Basic reading and writing comprehension in English
• Basic measuring skills to read English & Metric systems
• Basic arithmetic skills to calculate and convert decimals and fractions
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows software
• Minimum one (1) year experience as a machine operator
• Knowledge of matching procedures
• Experience operating an overhead crane / forklift operator
