Provides supervision and coordination activities to cost effectively maintain the mechanical fixed equipment used to operate the Methanex USA LLC production facilities, ensuring the safety of personnel, protection of the environment and the reliability and availability of plant to achieve production targets.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Mechanical Trade Certificate or equivalent desired
- 7-10 years experience in a Mechanical trades role
- 5+ years experience in supervisory capacity
- Ability to read and interpret plant drawings
- Experience in, and/or knowledge of, common welding processes for carbon steel, stainless, chrome and duplex
- Knowledge and understanding of standard mechanical inspection techniques and technologies
- Knowledge and understanding of pressure containing equipment requirements and regulations
- Experience with Predictive and Preventative Maintenance programs
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis
- Experience with ISO 9000
- Good decision making skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Priority Setting and Time Management skills
- A self-starter
- Ability to maintain positive and effective internal and external customer relationships
- Competency with computer software such as Microsoft Office, Maximo or other CMMS programs
- Able to work in a Petrochemical plant environment
- Demonstrates the flexibility required to adapt to varying work arrangements to meet the needs of the manufacturing operation
