Job Description
The OSP Field Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the accurate and safe construction of Metronet's network to our standards. This role requires skills, experience, and behavioral traits necessary for inspecting, investigating, leading, and managing construction crews.
Requirements
- Maintain understanding of specifications, standard practices, and safety
- Conduct walkouts and inspect aerial fiber cable placement on poles and splice points
- Approve completed aerial work done to Metronet's standards
- Manage the OSP Construction Tracker
- Monitor the approved budget for each assigned work order
- Respond to utility strikes, conduct investigation, and document said strike within 24 hours
- Conduct weekly audits for contractor safety, construction, and quality practices
- Identify contractor training needs and arrange for training
- Ensure aerial line contractors have weekly safety and communications tailgate meetings
