Mental Health Practitioner/Social Worker/Counselor serving Lake/McHenry counties

Metropolitan Family Services is hiring a full-time Mental Health Practitioner/Social Worker/Counselor to join their Adoption Support and Preservation Team out of their Wheaton office. The role will serve Lake/McHenry counties and involve providing comprehensive assessment, case management, counseling, and advocacy services to clients.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in social work, Counseling or related degree from an accredited college or university
• Must have applied to take LSW or LPC examination
• Must be Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) within 6 months
• 2+ years of experience working in the mental health field with clients across the lifespan
• Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or experience working with clients experiencing substance use
