Job Description
Michael Baker International is seeking a motivated and dynamic Technical Manager to join their Wisconsin Bridge Team. The role will involve providing technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers and technicians, serving as a technical lead on bridge and transportation structure projects, and contributing to the growth of a collaborative and respected practice.
Requirements
- Bachelorās degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in bridge design and transportation structures
- Wisconsin Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Strong knowledge of AASHTO LRFD, AISC, ACI, and other North American design codes
- Experience delivering bridge projects for WisDOT and local agencies
- Demonstrated experience managing transportation projects from both technical and financial perspectives
- Experience with alternative delivery methods is preferred
- Design experience with multiple bridge types in concrete and steel, including staged construction analysis
- Familiarity with load rating and structural analysis software such as BrR, MIDAS, and/or LARSA
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related programs
