Senior Mechanical Engineer

Michael Baker International is seeking a driven Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead complex projects and mentor junior engineers. This role involves mechanical design, code compliance, technical analysis, and client engagement within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will contribute to innovative solutions and drive engineering excellence in high-performance buildings and critical infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering (Mechanical Focus)
• Professional Engineering (PE) License
• 10+ years of related professional experience in mechanical building systems design
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and controls design
• Extensive experience with technical writing (specifications, narratives)
• Proficient in applicable codes and standards (IMC, IBC, IPC, ASHRAE)
• Experience with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and PDF software
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality work
